By creating a health and care economy that reflects our modern world and innovations, we will have a system that is sustainable and effective for the future. Australians will have access to the latest developments in care and medicines, becoming a healthier and more productive nation.
In the face of a rapidly ageing population, increasing chronic diseases, and growing demand for health and care services, we will work to harness and strengthen the role of Australia’s private sector in delivering sustainable and productive care for Australians. Investment in prevention including consumer education, accessibility including medicines and treatments, and research are critical to reducing costs and keeping Australians healthier for longer.
Business is asking governments, providers, and all Australians to prioritise building a healthy, more productive nation. This is a critical step to securing better outcomes today and ensuring a more sustainable system for future generations. We work with industry leaders to provide tangible policy solutions which address the urgent reforms outlined in the BCA’s recent blueprint to ensure future sustainability – empowering consumers, embracing technology and strengthening the workforce for long-term prosperity.
Within this area of focus, we have the Health and Care Services CEO Committee chaired by Rohan Mead,Group Managing Director & CEO, Australian Unity.
