About the Alliance

Working towards a more productive Australia for all Australians

The Alliance of Industry Associations is a group of leading Australian industry bodies, working together to advocate for bold, coordinated economic reform that lifts living standards by improving our national productivity. Drawing strength from a broad cross-section of sectors—from business, education, agriculture and energy, to retail, telecommunications, infrastructure and professional services — the Alliance aims to present common priorities to government to lift productivity, foster innovation, and stimulate private investment.

Through the Alliance, member organisations collaborate to identify structural bottlenecks, align policy positions, and propose actionable reforms. In the lead-up to national policy forums — such as the Economic Reform Roundtable of 2025 — the Alliance presents unified calls for reducing red tape, accelerating approvals for major projects, promoting research and development, and undertaking tax reform that strengthens the economy without raising costs on consumers or businesses.

As a member, the Business Council of Australia (BCA) brings its national economic perspective, policy expertise, and convening power to the Alliance. The BCA helps coordinate collective advocacy, ensures industry voices are represented in key policy dialogues, and contributes to the development of shared priorities that advance long-term growth, national competitiveness, and improved living standards for all Australians.
