Question 2: How do we best support Australia’s growth industries?

A skilled workforce, a culture of innovation adoption, including AI, and investment in research and development, will drive the business and job opportunities of the future.

At the BCA, we’re helping to shape a stronger, smarter, and more secure nation by driving innovation through technology. We work with industry, government, and research partners to advance Australia’s digital transformation, from artificial intelligence and cyber security to next-generation defence technologies under AUKUS Pillar 2. Our goal is to harness these tools to create new opportunities, boost productivity, and ensure Australians are ready for the jobs of the future.

We’re also committed to keeping Australia safe and competitive in a rapidly changing world. The BCA supports the growth of an innovative economy that benefits everyone, creating high-value jobs, improving everyday life, and positioning Australia as a trusted leader in technology across the globe.

Within this area of focus, we have the Future Growth Industries CEO Committee chaired by John Paitaridis, Chief Executive Officer, CyberCX.
