The Business Council of Australia (BCA) welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s Climate Active Program Direction Consultation 2023.

Several BCA members have (or are considering) certifications under the Australian Government’s Climate Active Program (Climate Active) to facilitate their actions to avoid, reduce and offset their emissions.

We welcome reforms designed to modernise Climate Active as an opportunity for Australia to pursue its net zero objectives as efficiently, effectively and equitably as possible.
