Australia is currently in the midst of a historic period of government infrastructure investment and delivery. The Business Council acknowledges how central good quality infrastructure is to the functioning of the economy, and its importance in providing the underlying foundations for successful communities. In this context, Infrastructure Australia has an important role in advising the Federal Government to ensure that the most economically productive, well considered projects receive Australian taxpayer dollars and draw on the nation’s limited delivery resources. A renewed Infrastructure Australia must be a source of trusted advice for the Australian Government.
