The Business Council’s submission to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection on visa simplification supports the government’s aims to reduce the number of visas and makes recommendations for a more efficient and risk-based approach to migration regulation.

The visa framework needs to meet the immediate and long term needs of Australia’s economy and enhance Australia’s attractiveness as a destination for skilled migrants in an increasingly competitive global market for talent.
