Submission to the Senate committee inquiry into China-Australia Free Trade Agreement

This is the Business Council’s Submission to the Senate Committee Inquiry into the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA).
The submission urges the committee to recommend the Parliament ratify the ChAFTA without amendment or delay.
Australia must not miss the historic opportunity that ChAFTA offers. With economic growth at 2 per cent, well below the trend of 3.5 per cent, and unemployment above 6 per cent, the ChAFTA offers Australia the opportunity to drive growth in the economy and create more jobs.
