Submission to inquiry into the EPBC Amendment (Standing) Bill 2015

This is the Business Council's submission to the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee’s Inquiry into the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Amendment (Standing) Bill 2015.
The Bill repeals section 487 from the EPBC Act 1999 that extends the meaning of person aggrieved in the Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977 (the ADJR Act).
On balance, the submission recommends the passage of the Bill and the repeal of section 487.
