Business Council statement on antisemitic terror attack at Bondi Beach

Statement attributed to Business Council President Geoff Culbert and Business Council Chief Executive Bran Black

The Business Council of Australia condemns the hateful and disturbing terror attack at Bondi Beach this weekend.

The horrific antisemitism that this attack represents must strengthen our shared resolve to take action against violence and hatred.

Our deepest sympathies go to the entire Jewish community. Many Jewish Australian families awoke this morning to unimaginable trauma and grief. In sorrow and solidarity, we must support them now and into the future.

We also gratefully acknowledge the bravery and selflessness of those civilians and first responders who stood up to save lives.

This act of terrorism has changed our nation forever, and so everyone has a role to play to ensure attacks like this never happen again. The BCA and the Australian business community stand ready to support whatever action is required.
