BCA Elects Michael Chaney as New President

The Business Council of Australia has elected Mr Michael Chaney AO as its new President for a term of two years.
Mr Chaney has been a Member of the BCA since 1992 and is currently its Vice-President.
He is Chairman of the National Australia Bank Board and Gresham Partners and is a Director of BHP Billiton. He is also a member of the Council of the National Gallery of Australia and the JPMorgan International Council, a Director of the Centre for Independent Studies and Chairman of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth.
Mr Chaney replaces Mr Hugh Morgan AC, who has served as BCA President for the past two years.
At the BCA’s Annual General Meeting in Sydney yesterday, BCA Members also elected Mr Philip Bullock, CEO and Managing Director, IBM Australia/New Zealand; Mr Greig Gailey, Chief Executive Officer, Zinifex Limited; and Mr Charlie Lenegan, Managing Director, Rio Tinto – Australia, as Members of the BCA Board. Mr Tony D'Aloisio, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Stock Exchange was also re-elected for another term.
