Address by BCA President Graham Bradley to the ANU Crawford School of Economics and Government LAFIA Alumni Dinner

27 September 2010

BCA President Graham Bradley delivered an address to the ANU Crawford School of Economics and Government Leading Australia’s Future in Asia and the Pacific (LAFIA) Alumni Dinner on 23 September 2010.

In the address he covered three broad areas:

  • The BCA’s message to the new government.
  • The implications of that message are for the Australian Public Service (APS).
  • How these fresh challenges might fit in with the APS reform blueprint.

The BCA President argues in the address that if government does not embrace a bigger agenda, if political leaders don’t adopt a new style of leadership, and recognise and nurture common ground among sectors of the community, Australia will not achieve all that we can at this moment of real national opportunity.
