Treasury Laws Amendment (Measures for Consultation) Bill 2021: Use of technology for meetings and related amendments
20 September 2021
This is the Business Council of Australia submission to the Treasury consultation process on the exposure draft of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Measures for Consultation) Bill 2021: Use of technology for meetings and related amendments (the Bill). This is the second such draft bill released for consultation in 2021. The Business Council previously made a submission in support of the first draft Bill in July 2021.
The Bill proposes a number of targeted amendments to the Corporations Act 2001 (the Act) to permanently enact measures relating to virtual meetings and the electronic execution of documents that were implemented on a temporary basis in 2020 and again in 2021.
