Term of BCA President Catherine Livingstone Extended

05 November 2015

The members of the Business Council of Australia (BCA) have voted to extend the two-year term of President Catherine Livingstone by twelve months.

“Catherine is one of Australia’s most highly respected and thoughtful business leaders and I am delighted she has generously agreed to stay on in the role,” BCA Chief Executive Jennifer Westacott said.

“She has served with distinction since taking on the role in March 2014. I think it is fair to say that many of the important conversations, such as mobilising the innovation ecosystem and how Australia responds to the forces of disruption, that we are now having as a country are conversations that were started by Catherine.

“What Catherine brings to the Business Council flows from her immense intellect, world leading knowledge of the forces of change, and most importantly, her enormous ambition for Australia.

“The Business Council, and our country, will benefit from having Catherine continuing to be a strong advocate for reforms that will deliver enduring prosperity for all Australians,” Ms Westacott said.
