Supplementary Submission to the Competition Policy Review

The Business Council of Australia has lodged a Supplementary Submission to the Competition Policy Review.

The submission recommends against proposals raised in submissions to the review panel and in the media for:

  • the introduction of an “effects test” and removal of the “taking advantage” element under section 46
  • giving the ACCC powers to initiate formal market studies
  • the extension of price signalling provisions.
