The Business Council’s submission broadly supported the Climate Change Authority's principles and approach but suggested a number of other factors (bipartisanship, scalability and flexibility) that the CCA should note when recommending a suite of policies, and advised that any suite of policies for Australia needs to include adequate assistance for our emissions-intensive trade exposed sector to maintain the competitiveness of the Australian economy.  We also attached a study we have commissioned from Bain and Company.
