I congratulate Jennifer on her appointment as Chancellor of Western Sydney University.

This prestigious, honorary appointment is recognition of Jennifer’s incredible leadership on education and the transformation of Western Sydney.

This is a win for Western Sydney University which will gain one of Australia’s most effective advocates, and a win for the Business Council where Jennifer will continue to strengthen the partnerships between sectors needed to build the strong, productive and dynamic economy Australia needs.

Both as Business Council chief executive and WSU Chancellor, Jennifer will continue to be a leading force in ensuring Australia is prepared for the challenges of the future and can remain a competitive, robust and fair nation.

This appointment reinforces the Business Council’s position as a leading voice on education, innovation and skills – particularly as we head into the Federal Government’s Jobs and Skills Summit.
