Statement Following Liberal Party Room Meeting
10 February 2015
Following this morning’s vote in the Liberal party room, Business Council of Australia Chief Executive Jennifer Westacott said.
“What matters to the BCA and our members is that we see traction on increasingly urgent policy changes to strengthen the Australian economy.
“These changes include a sensible, strategic approach to repairing the federal budget, a more competitive tax system, the removal of unnecessary, unwieldy red tape and a more flexible workplace relations system.
“Australia has many opportunities and significant challenges. I am confident the community understands this and is willing to consider change if the need is explained clearly, and they are properly consulted on the policy responses.”
