Simon has responsibility for developing and advocating the Business Council’s policy agenda in the areas of competition policy, best practice regulation, labour markets, infrastructure and population policy.
Simon joined the Business Council of Australia in 2007 as an economist with a mix of commercial, financial and policy experience across the private and public sectors.
He previously worked as an economics and policy adviser both within government and as part of a leading consultancy firm. He also held several pricing and regulatory roles in the airline and telecommunications sectors.
Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
