Kat Eather

Kat is the General Counsel at the BCA, joining in 2024, having consulted to the organisation since 2023. She leads the BCA’s legal and industrial relations work, advising on workplace policy, regulatory reform and corporate governance.

Prior to joining the BCA, Kat spent 5 years as Senior Legal Counsel (IR) for UGL, a CIMIC Group company, advising on complex employment and industrial relations matters on major infrastructure and resources projects. She has extensive private practice experience as a senior employment lawyer gained in top-tier and leading boutique firms, and has completed major industrial relations projects on secondment to some of Australia’s most well-known institutions.

Kat holds a Masters in Labour Law and Relations from Sydney University, and Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Media in Writing from Macquarie University. She is admitted to practice in NSW.
