Businesses look forward to getting on with the task of recovery by working with incoming NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet, Business Council chief executive Jennifer Westacott said.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Perrottet government as the state ramps up and continues to position itself for the future.
“The incoming Premier has a long track-record of collaboration with businesses and a strong sense of the importance of a private sector led recovery. These qualities have helped make NSW a leader in the federation when it comes to managing the pandemic and reforming for the future.
“As Treasurer Mr Perrottet helped steward NSW through the pandemic and set the groundwork for an accelerated recovery, he is well placed to do the same as premier.
“We thank outgoing premier Gladys Berejiklian for her vision and drive to get things done over her term. Her understanding of the role of leadership has been critical to helping steer the country through the pandemic, as has her rare ability to work constructively and effectively with employers.
“Thanks to her focus on building a strong team, Gladys Berejiklian leaves behind a government ready to build its recovery on strong foundations.”
