Embedding Workplace Collaboration: Preventing Disputes
11 August 2009
August 2009
This new discussion paper is the first in a series of papers exploring the theme of more collaborative approaches to workplace relations.
The paper sets out that Australia risks slower economic growth in the years ahead unless the new industrial relations system can focus more strongly on preventing disputes.
The new system must guard against attempts to disrupt constructive workplace relations.
The paper incorporates a policy discussion paper written by Associate Professor Anthony Forsyth, Director of the Workplace and Corporate Law Research Group in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at Monash University, titled “Promoting Cooperative Workplace Relations in the New ‘Fair Work’ System”, and a foreword containing recommendations by the BCA.
