Catherine Tanna

Catherine Tanna is Managing Director of EnergyAustralia Holdings Limited, China Light and Power’s (CLP) 100 per cent owned electricity and gas business in Australia.

Catherine was most recently Chairperson of BG Group (Australia), where she was accountable for key stakeholder relations in Australia, including federal and state stakeholders, and various trade and industry bodies such as the Business Council of Australia.

She joined BG Group in 2009 after a long career with Shell and BHP Billiton. At Shell, she was Executive Vice President of Shell Gas & Power with responsibility for Shell’s LNG, gas transmission and power generation interests across Africa. She also held similar roles covering North Asia, Russia, North America and Latin America.

She was formerly a Director on the Board of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation and served as a member of the Australian G20 business body (B20), the Lowy Institute's G20 Advisory Committee and the Catholic Foundation Board.
