Business Council of Australia Welcomes Competition Decision
28 November 2001
The Business Council of Australia today welcomed the federal government’s decision not to amend the Trade Practices Act as it relates to the aviation industry.
The Chief Executive of the BCA, Ms Katie Lahey, said today:
“Any changes should quite properly be considered as part of the comprehensive review of the Trade Practices Act next year.
“We would be strongly opposed to any ad hoc decisions on the design and administration of the Act before that review is held.
“We therefore welcome the government’s decision.”
