Business Council response to Section 46 announcement
16 March 2016
The Business Council of Australia is disappointed by the government’s decision to change Section 46 of the Competition and Consumer Act as proposed by the Harper review, BCA President Catherine Livingstone said today.
“If Australia wants to have an innovation-driven economy, this is poor policy,” said Ms Livingstone.
“We participated in good faith throughout the consultation process, and will continue to work with the government to minimise the risks and unintended consequences from changes to the law.”
