BCA Welcomes New South Wales Government Energy Strategy
11 December 2007
The BCA welcomes the New South Wales Government’s energy strategy as an important contribution to improving the efficiency of energy investment and delivery in Australia’s largest economy.
The BCA also welcomes the strategy as a mechanism to unlock investment towards other much-needed infrastructure requirements in the state.
“The strategy underlines the fact that the private sector is best placed to deliver improvements in energy infrastructure that will deliver benefits at lowest long-term cost to the public,” BCA Director, Policy, Ms Maria Tarrant said.
“Importantly, by freeing up private investment in the nation’s biggest energy market, the strategy is a key step toward achieving a true national market for energy,” Ms Tarrant said.
