Address to the Australian Labor Party's jobs and skills summit
The Business Council's chief executive Jennifer Westacott addressed the Australian Labor Party's Jobs and Skills Summit in Canberra on 17 March, 2017.
Ms Westacott started with a very frank analysis that reform of the vocational education and training system is not even halfway done, and stakeholders needed to agree collectively on what was needed and how best to achieve it.
"We should not spend our time on a debate about public versus private providers, or whether competition has a role in the VET sector," she said.
