Policy Agenda

Business Regulation

Good regulation protects consumers while supporting productivity and minimising unnecessary business costs.

The Business Council of Australia’s advocacy focuses on an appropriate governance and regulatory environment, underpinned by effective institutions, to support good regulation.

This includes policy advocacy around:

• the settings that would create an optimal regulation system

• more effective public policymaking processes

• removal of poor regulation

• reforming anti-competitive regulation.

The BCA Secretariat contact for business regulation policy issues is Simon Pryor, Executive Director, Infrastructure and Regulation.
