A More Ambitious Agenda for COAG

The BCA welcomed the agreement by COAG to accelerate reforms to business regulation, but says that more substantive federal–state economic reforms can be achieved.

“BCA Chief Katie Lahey said: ‘As ambitious as the current COAG agenda may appear, a far broader reform agenda is required to secure our future growth.’ Ms Lahey said the BCA would also be looking for a clear report back to the next COAG meeting on progress against any commitments and whether timelines would be met.”
