Australia’s Skilled Migration Intake

BCA Policy Director Patrick Coleman comments on the importance of skilled migration in an article tited ‘Migrant Intake Just Right: Business’ by Siobhain Ryan, The Australian, 6 February 2008.

‘… Business Council of Australia policy director Patrick Coleman said his organisation put the country’s future need for workers from abroad at closer to 175,000 a year. ‘Over recent years, there have been increases in the permanent migration level and we’re now at the point where the migration level is broadly in line with where we’ve asked for it to be.’
