Reform of School Education

The need for change is powerfully demonstrated in a paper prepared for the Business Council of Australia by Australian Council for Educational Research chief executive Geoff Masters. Masters said, while young Australians perform well on average, large numbers leave school with ‘unacceptably low levels of school achievement’.
