The Role of Education: Comments by Stockland Managing Director and BCA Member Matthew Quinn

‘There is not enough linkage between primary and high school education with the life and employment challenges that youngsters will face when they leave school. We are still too backward looking and focused on what the education system can provide (physical environment, teaching skills and culture) rather than what the students need. This is a key focus of the Business Council of Australia’s Education Task Force of which I am privileged to be a member, and I think that the business community at large has a big role to play in proactively helping the key decision makers in the education system provide better solutions.’
