BCA Response to ALP Trades Training Centres Proposal
The Business Council of Australia welcomed the plan while warning that any productivity gains resulting from it were likely to be undermined by Labor’s policy of ending Australian Workplace Agreements. Chief executive Katie Lahey said: “The Trades Training Centres policy is a positive initiative to meet a pressing need to increase the number of students taking up trades jobs and address capacity constraints in the skilled labour market.”
