A Business Council of Australia spokesman said Mr Brown’s decision only showed how much pressure was being applied around the world on governments to streamline the conditions facing business. “This is further confirmation of the pace at which business tax reform is being pursued around the world,” the spokesman said. “It reinforces the BCA belief that Australia must ensure that its business tax system, across all jurisdictions, remains efficient and competitive.”
